GPS pins are for telling drivers exactly where to go. The Edit Pin > Inventory tab is where you place units at a specific pin. Pins themselves don't declare what's at the site — declarations live on the Rate Card. The pin is the precise spot within the address where a particular unit sits.
The Inventory tab on a pin shows you all units assigned to the parent address (from the Rate Card row). For each tracked unit, you'll see a placement state: "Not placed" (with a "Place here" button), "Placed here" (a green badge confirming it's at this pin), or "Placed at [other pin]" (with a "Move here" option to bring it to this pin instead).
A tracked unit can only be placed at one pin at a time. If you move a unit, it leaves its previous pin automatically. This keeps the map honest about where every unit actually is.
Untracked counts (units declared on the Rate Card without specific numbers) can't be placed at pins because they have no identity to track. If you need pin-level precision for these, you'll need to assign tracked numbers to them first via the Rate Card row expansion.
The "Driver will see" info box at the top of the Inventory tab counts the tracked units placed at this specific pin. If the count is zero, drivers won't see this pin as having work assigned to it. Place at least one unit at a pin for it to be useful to drivers.
If a site has no GPS pins set up, drivers just navigate to the address. Pins are an optional enhancement for sites where the address alone isn't enough — large fairgrounds, multi-acre construction zones, anywhere precise drop locations matter.
