Service locations are physical sites where you provide services. Each customer can have multiple locations for different service addresses.
Adding a Service Location
- Site Name: Descriptive name (e.g., "North Yard", "Main Office")
- Street Address: Physical address
- City, State, ZIP: Full address details
- Notes: Site access instructions, gate codes, etc.
- Status: Operational state — see below

Site Status
Site status is only for operational state. Pickable values:
Paused is set by the Pause site action (below), not picked from this dropdown.
Pausing, Closing, and Reopening a Site
Every site has two lifecycle actions, both on the site card's three-dot (⋮) menu under Sites → Street Addresses:
Pause site
Use when the customer is coming back (winter shutdown, seasonal gap, non-payment hold). Pausing:
Reverse it with Resume service — billing picks back up next cycle at the preserved counts.
Close site
Use when the customer is done at this site. In one action:
Close site is also available from the Service Plan modal's footer.
Reopen site
Turn on Show closed sites at the top right of Sites → Street Addresses to see closed sites (dimmed, with a Closed badge). Open the three-dot menu on the site and choose Reopen site. It comes back as Active with unit counts at zero — open the Service Plan and type the counts back in to restart billing. The full history is preserved.
Pause vs Close
Neither action deletes anything.
Legacy vocabulary
In July 2026 the old Archive and Close out site actions were merged into Pause and Close, and the Seasonal and Inactive site statuses were retired (both are now handled by Pause). The old Show archived text link is now a Show closed sites toggle switch. Old CSV imports that use `seasonal` or `inactive` as location_status still work — they land as Paused with a provenance note.
