When a customer accepts a quote, convert it to a job with one click. The Convert button lives on the quote's detail page once it's been marked as Accepted. Click it and the system creates a job pre-populated with the quote's customer, location, line items, and schedule.
This is the canonical bridge between quotes (proposals) and jobs (committed work). You no longer need to create both at once — a quote becomes a job when the customer says yes, and you don't lose any data in the transition. The "Job + Quote" toggle has been removed from the wizard because this path is cleaner.
The converted job can be edited before saving — sometimes the customer agrees in principle but wants a different delivery date, or adds an extra unit. Make those changes during conversion and the job is created with the final agreed terms. The original quote is preserved in the customer's history as the proposal record.
If you need a quote and a job to live independently (rare — usually means you're tracking multiple proposals for the same customer), create them separately via the wizard. Most operators use the Quote → Convert → Job flow for every recurring or substantial job.
For ongoing recurring service, remember that the Rate Card handles billing on indefinite rentals. The job from a quote conversion sets up the initial delivery. Set up the Rate Card row for the site afterward and Cycle Invoices take over for all future billing.
