Email is fully two-way. When you send an email from a conversation, and the customer replies, that reply lands in the Inbox — not in a black hole or an unread folder.
How reply capture works
Emails you send from a conversation carry a special Reply-To address (`reply+<token>@<your inbound subdomain>`). When the customer replies:
No mailbox access required
This works without giving PortaPro read access to your mailbox — so there's no Google security review (CASA) or Microsoft certification to complete. You keep control; PortaPro only sees the messages you route to it.
Quoted history
Inbound replies are trimmed of quoted history and signatures for a clean thread view. The full original is retained behind the scenes if you ever need to reference it.
What it doesn't cover on its own
Reply capture only catches replies to emails you sent from the Inbox. To also capture cold inbound (a customer emailing your business address out of the blue) and mail you send from your own inbox, see Email Inbox Capture — that's the BCC + auto-forward mechanism.
