The customer portal is your customers' own login: their invoices and
payments, the units at their sites, service history, requests and messages.
Access is given to contacts, one person at a time, by invitation. What
customers see once they are in is covered in the

Adding Customers and Contacts).
get paid without a phone call when the payer has the login.
("Customer is marked Do Not Contact, portal invites are paused").
Invite one contact
Only contacts with an email address who aren't already invited are listed.
When no contact has portal access yet, the page offers Invite First
Contact instead.
Invite many customers at once
From Customers, open ⋮ → Portal Invite, or tick customers in the list
and click Invite to Portal. The Bulk Portal Invitations wizard has
four steps:
email address and no portal access are listed. Search, tick customers or
use Select All Eligible. Each row shows Has primary or No
primary. Click Next: Select Contacts.

counts of sent, failed and remaining. Pause and Resume at any
point. When it finishes, Retry Failed resends the ones that failed and
Done closes the wizard.
The invitation email
Each contact gets one email, sent from your company, branded with your logo
and colour:
lands them straight in their own portal.
The From address follows your company's sending settings (Settings →
Company Sending). No second, generic email is sent.
Checking and managing access
Contacts → Portal Access lists every contact who has been invited, with
a status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | They accepted and can sign in. |
| Pending | Invited, not accepted yet. The row shows when they were invited and "Expires in N days". |
| Expired | The invitation is more than 30 days old. "Invitation expired. Resend to grant access." |
Each row's ⋮ menu:
the old one.
Revoking or removing takes the person off this list entirely; the contact
stays on the Contacts tab and can be invited again any time. Deleting a
customer removes all of its portal access.
Seeing what the customer sees
On the customer profile, Quick Actions → View as Customer opens their
portal in a new tab in a read-only staff view. Office staff also have ⋮ →
View Portal.
