The afternoon before a scheduled job, PortaPro can text the customer a short reminder with the date and arrival window:
Reminder: Your service is scheduled for Wed, Sep 9 (arrival 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM). Reply STOP to opt out.
It is the companion to the driver on-the-way text: that one fires minutes before the truck arrives; this one fires the day before, so a gate is unlocked, a car is moved, and nobody is surprised by a truck.
It is off until you turn it on
Settings → SMS → Day-before reminder texts is off for every company. Turning it on requires an active SMS number (Settings → SMS) and the Growth plan or higher.
| Setting | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Text customers the day before a scheduled service | The master switch | Off |
| Send at | Your local time. Reminders for tomorrow's jobs go out once the clock passes this time. Any half hour from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. | 4:00 PM |
Click the pencil on the card, flip the switch, pick a time, and Save.

Who gets texted, and who does not
Every 15 minutes PortaPro checks each company. Once the company's local clock passes Send at, it looks at every open job (Unassigned, Assigned, Pending, or In Progress) scheduled for tomorrow in the company's time zone and texts the customer on each one, once per job. It then marks the day done, so nobody is texted twice even if you change the time later that afternoon.
A customer is skipped, silently, when any of these is true:
Nothing is sent for jobs without a customer (yard work, disposal runs).
What the message says
The built-in message names the date and, when the job has an arrival window, the window. A job with no window says only the date. Every text ends with "Reply STOP to opt out." Each send is recorded on the customer's Inbox timeline like any other automated text.
Two jobs tomorrow, two texts
Reminders are per job. A customer with a delivery at one site and a service at another tomorrow receives two texts, each naming its own window. If that is not what you want for a particular customer, turn off Service reminders on their profile.
