What Marketing is for
Marketing is where your company emails its own customers in bulk:
seasonal reminders, promotions, announcements, newsletters. You pick who
gets it, write it in a branded email composer, send yourself a test, then
send it now or schedule it. Each campaign gets its own results page with
delivered, opened, clicked and bounced counts.
The same section also holds Reputation (review requests and your review
platforms) and Referrals (your customer referral program).
Marketing is for one message to many customers. A one-off email to one
customer is sent from that customer's record or the Inbox, and sales
follow-up sequences are sent from a teammate's connected inbox (see

company by the PortaPro team during onboarding. Until it is, a campaign
send (including a test send) is refused with "Customer email sending is
enabled by the PortaPro team during onboarding. Contact support and we
will turn it on for your account." Contact PortaPro Support if you see
that message.
The tabs
Open Marketing from the sidebar. The page has seven tabs. The tab you are
on is kept in the page address, so you can bookmark or share a tab.
| Tab | What's there |
|---|---|
| Overview | Totals across your sent campaigns (Total Campaigns, Delivery Rate, Open Rate, Click Rate) and Recent Campaigns. Click a campaign to open its results page. |
| Templates | The Templates Library: saved subject lines and email content you can start a campaign from. See Customer groups and templates. |
| Scheduled | Campaigns waiting for a future send time. Edit, Reschedule or Cancel campaign before they go. See Scheduling and results. |
| Customer Groups | Saved groups of customers built from rules (what other tools call segments). See Customer groups and templates. |
| Drafts | Campaign Drafts you saved part way through. Open one to keep going, or delete it. |
| Reputation | Review requests, review platforms and NPS. It has its own tabs: Overview, Requests, Inbox and Platforms. |
| Referrals | Your referral program: share links, referrals received, and credits issued. |
Create Campaign (top right; the + on a phone) opens the campaign
wizard from any tab. The step-by-step walkthrough is

Campaign statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Draft | Saved, not sent. Lives on the Drafts tab. |
| Scheduled | Waiting for its send time. Lives on the Scheduled tab. |
| Sending | Delivery is in progress. |
| Sent | Delivered. A campaign sent with Send Now can show completed instead, or completed_with_errors when some recipients failed. |
| Failed | The send was refused or stopped before mail went out. Open the campaign to see why. |
Email only, for now
The campaign wizard offers Email, SMS and Email and SMS, but
campaign delivery sends email only. An SMS campaign saves but texts nobody.
Use email campaigns for anything that needs to arrive. Automatic customer
texts (on-the-way, day-before reminders, job status) are a separate feature
under Settings → SMS.
What every campaign email carries
PortaPro adds these to every campaign email; you don't build them and you
can't remove them:
that Gmail and Apple Mail use for their own unsubscribe button.
Branding, and your company address in the footer when it is set.
Campaign emails are sent from PortaPro's mail address with your company
name as the sender name. Replies go to your support email, or your company
email if no support email is set (Settings → Company).
