Step by step in writing: GPS Pins and Unit Placement
Transcript
A site's address tells PortaPro where the customer is. A pin tells your driver which corner of that site the units are actually standing in. Open the customer, go to Sites, then Pins, and click Add pin. Bergstrom Site Works has five standard units, a handwash station and an A D A unit on its rate card, and no pin yet. The blue pin stays in the middle of the map. Tap the spot where the units stand, or drag the map under it. The line under the map says how far that is from the street address. Use this spot. If you land within a few meters of a pin that's already there, it offers to add to that one instead, so you never end up with two pins on one patch of gravel. Give the spot a name the driver will recognize. Back lot will do. The type sets the symbol on the map. Restroom Cluster is already picked for a rate card like this one. Next lists every type on the site's rate card. This is the first pin here, so it starts with everything. Each line counts what's placed against the rate card, this pin included. On a later pin, Place the ones left here fills the rest in one click, and Pick numbered units chooses units by their tag number. The last step shows everything that will be created, each with a Change link. Access instructions and a placement photo are optional, and they're the first thing a driver reads when they open the pin. Nothing exists until Save pin. Click it, and the pin opens with its units on it.
