When a tracked unit's last GPS fix is more than 100 m from its map pin, the unit's profile shows an amber drift banner: Tracker is about 1.4 km from this unit's placement pin. The unit may have been moved without a records update.
Two buttons under the banner let the office make the record catch up without leaving the page.
Move pin to tracker position
Rewrites the pin's coordinates to the tracker's last fix. It uses the same relocate action a driver's move uses, so:
The button is disabled when the drift is over 2 km. That far away the unit is at a different site, and the right fix is to place it at the site it's actually on.
Flag for the next driver
Sets the pin to Needs relocation with the note Tracker reports the unit away from its pin. Flagged pins render orange on every map, including the driver's job sheet, so whoever visits next knows to find the unit and tap Move pin here at its real spot, which clears the flag.
Before you move a pin on one reading
The drift banner is a trigger, not a decision. A tracker reading inside a metal building or under a bridge can be off by more than 100 m with the unit exactly where it should be. Check the fix's age and source first.
Neither button changes billing. The rate card declares what the customer pays for; pins only record where units physically sit.
