What Inventory holds
Inventory in the sidebar is where the equipment you rent out lives: the
products you offer (a standard unit, an ADA unit, a 20 yd roll-off, a frame
tent), and under each product the individual units you own, each with its own
unit code.
Two things are not on this page:
Supplies in the sidebar (Consumables).
See Availability, Facilities and Deployed Units.
The tabs
| Tab | What it is |
|---|---|
| Equipment | Your main rental products. The tab shows how many products you have, for example Equipment (12). |
| Add-ons | Items rented alongside the main equipment: lights, heaters, sanitizer stands, grab bars. Same delivery and return workflow, kept out of the Equipment list. Old links to the former Accessories tab still open it. |
| Location Map | A map of the units out at customer sites (Placement) and of units carrying a GPS tag (Live GPS). |
| GPS Tracking | The list of units carrying a GPS tag, with when each last reported and its battery. |
| Workshop | The Equipment Workshop: every unit in for repair, across all products. |
| Subrentals | Equipment you rent from another company for a set window. See Subrentals. |
| Warehouse | Pull sheets, load plan, returns, cleaning and laundry. Shows only when Settings → Item Movement is on. See Item movement. |
A product can be turned from Equipment into an Add-on (or back) from the
product's ⋯ menu: Convert to Add-on / Convert to Equipment.
Searching and filtering the product list
The Equipment and Add-ons tabs share the same tools.

facility.
Out of Stock. Low Stock means the available count is at or below the
product's low stock alert number but not zero. Out of Stock means none are
available.
Switching between Equipment and Add-ons clears the search, type and stock
filters so a filter from one tab can't silently empty the other.
The family switch
If you carry more than one kind of rental, a switch appears beside the stock
pills: All, then only the families you actually have out of
Sanitation, Roll-Offs, Waste Containers and Events. A company
with one family never sees it. Your choice is remembered on that browser, and
picking a family drops a product type filter that doesn't belong to it.

Scanning from anywhere
You don't have to be on Inventory to look up a unit. The scan icon in the app
header opens Quick Scan on a phone (Scan Consumable, Scan Asset,
OCR Tool Number) and the scanner directly on a desktop. A scanned unit
opens its page. See Products and Units.
