Every customer site has a map of pins: the exact spots where units sit. The office drops pins when a site is set up; you see them on the job sheet so you can find the unit instead of the address.
Units get moved. A foreman drags two toilets to the outfield fence, a customer shifts a handwash station to the other gate. When you find a unit in a new spot, you fix the record on the spot.

Every move is written to the pin's history and the job's notes, and the office map updates as it happens.

Move a pin to where you're standing

You'll see Pin moved with the distance and the GPS accuracy that was recorded.

If you tap Move here while standing on the pin already, nothing changes: the sheet says The pin is already at this spot.
Adjust on the map instead
Use this when GPS is poor (under trees, between buildings, inside a stadium) or when you can see where the unit is but you're not standing at it.
A drag is recorded as adjusted on the map rather than a GPS capture, so the office knows no accuracy radius applies.
Move only some of the units
A pin is a cluster: everything that sits in one spot. When only some of those units moved, split the cluster instead of moving the whole pin.
The units you picked get a new pin at the new spot. The rest stay on the original pin. Both pins keep an accurate unit list.
Why a pin and not a unit? Phone GPS is accurate to a few metres in the open. That's plenty to tell the infield from the outfield fence, and not enough to tell two units in a bank apart. Moving the cluster is honest.
Drop units here
Use this on a delivery, or any time you set units down somewhere that has no pin yet.
If a serial you placed was recorded at another pin, it's moved here automatically. The unit is physically here now, and the old pin's history says so.
Scan a unit tag
Every unit with a printed PortaPro tag has a QR code. Scanning it is the fastest way to record exactly which unit is where.
Scanning a tag on the ground also marks the tag as deployed in the office's tag list. A tag from another company's unit, or a code that doesn't match anything in your inventory, shows No unit in your inventory matches that tag.
Flag a pin instead of moving it
Sometimes you can't fix it this visit: the unit is behind a locked fence, the customer wants it moved by a specific date, or it's been taken to a different site entirely.
The pin turns orange on every map and the note is on the job. Moving the pin later clears the flag automatically. If the office flagged a pin and you've moved the unit back, tap Clear flag.
Notes and photos
Every move can carry a Note for the office and a photo. Tap Add a photo of the new spot: the photo is saved to the job's proof photos and, when you're online, becomes the pin's placement photo as well.
Working offline
Ballfields and quarries are dead zones. Every move, drop, scan placement and flag is saved on the phone when there's no signal (you'll see Move saved on this phone) and sent as soon as the phone reconnects. If the office has changed the pin in the meantime and your move no longer applies, it's dropped rather than retried forever.
