Everything about how email flows through PortaPro: the emails your customers receive on your behalf (invoices, quotes, receipts), and the emails your team writes and sends to leads, deals, and prospects from their own inboxes.
There are two distinct sending paths, and it helps to understand the difference before you dive in:
Both paths are optional, and they layer on top of PortaPro's default behavior which is to send everything from `no-reply@mail.portaprosoftware.com` on your behalf, with your business name as the display name and your support email as the reply-to. Configure only what you need.

Quick answers to the questions we hear most
"Do I need to set any of this up to send invoices?" No. PortaPro sends every email out of the box from a shared address with your business name on it. Everything below is optional polish most professional-looking on your own domain, most personal from your own inbox.
"Will connecting my Gmail read my emails?" No. PortaPro only asks for permission to *send* email on your behalf (`gmail.send`). It cannot read, list, modify, or delete anything in your mailbox. The same rule applies to Outlook (`Mail.Send` only) and SMTP (send-only credentials).
"What if I connect my Gmail and later disconnect it?" PortaPro revokes its access to your Google account, deletes its copy of the credentials, and any emails already sent stay in your Gmail Sent folder untouched. Invoices that were sending from your Gmail as the company sender automatically fall back to PortaPro's shared address until you pick a new sender.
"Does each of my teammates connect their own inbox?" Yes. Email connections are personal each person on your team connects their own so their outreach comes from their real address.
"Can I see who on my team has connected what?" Yes. Admins see a "Team email connections" panel on the Email Accounts page showing every teammate's connection status read-only, no ability to send on anyone's behalf.
