Reports → Job & Route Profitability counts driver labor as a cost, so a job's margin reflects the time your crew spent on it, not just fuel, dump fees and supplies.
Labor is a cost estimate: the time on the job multiplied by one company-wide labor rate. PortaPro never stores anyone's pay, and this number never touches payroll.
Set the labor rate
Until a rate is set, labor is $0 and the report shows Labor isn't counted yet. Set a driver labor rate to include it in these costs.
How the time is measured
For each job, PortaPro uses the best evidence it has:
The job drilldown names which one it used, for example Driver labor · 22 min × $28.00/hr (driver arrived to completed).
Routes
Route Profitability reads your published route plans: one row per driver per day. Route labor is the on-site labor of every job on the route plus the route's planned drive time at the same rate. The drilldown splits Driver labor (on site) and Driver labor (driving).
Where else it shows
The Job Profitability card on a job shows Estimated driver labor under the cash figures. It is kept separate from Revenue, Expenses and Net there, because those are cash and labor is an estimate.
