Doing your pre-trip inspection
The walk-around DVIR on your phone: odometer, pass or fail each item, and what happens when something fails.

A walk-around before you roll keeps a bad tire from turning into a bad day. On your phone it takes about two minutes. Open DVIRs from the menu. Tap Pre-Trip. The truck you're assigned today is already filled in. Enter the odometer reading. Every item starts on Pass. The list covers the truck, the pump equipment, and the safety gear, so walk around and change anything that isn't right. Tap Fail, and it asks what's wrong and for a photo, so the shop sees exactly what you saw. Items marked critical, like brakes, the vacuum pump or the spill kit, take the truck out of service when they fail. Anything else is logged as a minor defect. Tap Submit DVIR. Any defect lands in Fleet Management for the office, and your inspection shows up here under Recent.
