A festival weekend can bring in five thousand dollars and still keep less than you'd think, once the dump fee, the fuel and the driver's hours come out. This report shows what each job really kept. Job and Route Profitability is one of the standard reports. It lists every completed job that brought in money during the date range, which starts at year to date. Across the top: revenue, direct costs, gross margin, margin percent, and how many completed jobs it counted. Revenue here means paid invoices linked to a job. An invoice that hasn't been paid adds nothing yet. Rate card cycle invoices aren't tied to single jobs, so recurring rentals don't appear here. For that money, use Profit and Loss or Sales by Customer. Below, one row per job: the customer, the service type, the driver and truck, then labor, direct costs and margin. Group the rows by service type, customer, driver, territory or truck, and sort by revenue, margin or date. Most of these event deliveries keep better than ninety percent. The fairground service visits carry about seven hundred dollars in costs each, so they keep closer to three quarters. Click any job to open its drilldown. This festival delivery brought in fifty-two fifty, cost twenty-seven seventy-three, and kept a forty-seven percent margin. The costs come in buckets: disposal, other expenses, fuel, consumables, driver labor, and subrented equipment. Each one comes from something already recorded. Fuel logs and expenses linked to the job, disposal records, supplies used on it, and the job's share of any subrental. Labor is an estimate: a hundred and twenty-seven minutes on site, measured by the truck's GPS, times twenty-eight dollars an hour. With no GPS, it uses the driver's arrived and complete taps, and then the planned time. The line always names which one it used. And the arithmetic is spelled out: revenue minus direct costs equals the margin. Route Profitability does the same for each driver's day, read from that day's latest published route plan. A route appears once one of its stops is completed. A day of rate card stops shows costs and no revenue, because that service is billed on the cycle invoice. The note under the controls says so and links to where that income lands. A driver who has since left your team reads Former team member, so older routes still add up. Open a route for the whole day. This roll-off run finished three of three stops with forty-two minutes of planned driving. Route labor comes in two parts: time on site at each completed stop, and the planned driving between them, both at your hourly rate. Every stop is listed with its status. Only a stop marked done carries money, so a missed stop adds neither revenue nor cost. The labor rate comes from Settings, Route Plan Cost Rates. Enter what an hour of a driver costs you all in, wages plus taxes and benefits. It's a costing number, never anyone's pay, and it never touches payroll. Until a rate is saved, labor counts as zero, and the report says so with a Set a labor rate link that brings you here.
