The cover photo
Header photo (optional) in the create and edit dialogs. The photo runs full-width across the top of the card, fading down into the card's header color so it reads as part of the card rather than a banner stuck on top.
Add a photo of the person, the crew, the truck, the moment. The joke photo from the Christmas party works better than a stock image.
| Formats | PNG, JPG, WEBP, or GIF |
| Size limit | 5 MB |
| Buttons | Replace and Remove appear over the photo once uploaded |
Everyone sees the photo, on every surface: the live preview while you're building the card, your internal card page, the signature page the team signs, the recipient's card, and the delivery email. Signers see what they're signing.
Landscape photos work best. The cover is a wide band, so a tall portrait photo will be cropped to its middle. If a face is near the top or bottom edge, crop the photo before uploading.
Themes
Twelve themes, each a coordinated set of colors: the background behind the card, the header block, and the message cards.
Each swatch previews the whole look. You're seeing the header and a message card sitting on that theme's real background, not three disconnected color chips. Pick a theme and its matched background is applied with it.
Choosing an occasion also picks a theme: Promotion → Cobalt, Graduation → Midnight, Birthday → Sand, Welcome → Meadow, and so on. Set the occasion first, then adjust the look.
Custom theme
Custom opens five color pickers: Header bg, Header text, Message bg, Message text, and Accent. It starts from whatever theme you had selected, so you're adjusting a real design rather than starting from black-on-white. All five colors are required.
Backgrounds
Every theme ships with a matched background, and that's what you get by default. The Background row shows a swatch, the current background's name, and Matched to theme when you haven't changed it.
If you want something different, click Customize to open the full grid of fourteen backgrounds: Kraft, Slate Wash, Copper Glow, Deep Forest, Nebula, Bronze Linen, Warm Linen, Party Pop, Soft Sky, Deep Space, Fresh Mint, Paper Grid, Sunset Glow, Ocean Fade, plus a Custom option. The one that matches your theme is marked Matched.
Strayed somewhere you don't like? Reset to match puts it back to the theme's pairing in one click.
Why backgrounds sit behind a Customize button
Theme and background are two color decisions that have to agree with each other. Browsing them as two equal grids makes it very easy to land on a blue card floating on a green gradient. Matching them by default means the card looks composed without any work, and going off-pattern stays available for anyone who wants it. It's just a deliberate choice instead of an accident.
Custom background
Custom offers three styles:
The live preview
The Preview panel in both the create and edit dialogs renders the actual card component. Theme changes, background changes, photo uploads, and title edits all appear instantly. On desktop it sticks to the top of the pane as you scroll the form; on tablet and phone it sits above the form.
Editing the design later
The ⋮ menu on any card row, or the card page itself, has Edit. It opens the appearance dialog for the title, subtitle, cover photo, theme, and background. Existing signatures are kept, so restyling a half-signed card is safe.
Design edits stop when the card is sent.
