A job has a driver. Some jobs also need people: a DJ for the reception, an MC, a crew of four to put up a tent, an attendant for the restroom trailer. Crew books those people on the job, each with a role and a call time, and tells them.
Book someone on a job
The person gets a notification in the app, a push notification and an email. If you change their date or times, or take them off the job, they're told again.
Anyone on your team can be booked: drivers, office staff, mechanics. Truck logins (shared iPads) can't.
Double bookings
If the person is already on another job at an overlapping time, PortaPro still books them and tells you which job overlaps. The Crew card keeps showing "Also on … at an overlapping time" until you sort it out. A crew lead leaving one install early for the next is real life, so this is a warning, not a block.
Confirm or decline
Booked people see their calls in the driver app under My calls, with the date, time, address and your notes. They tap Confirm, or Can't make it with an optional reason. You get a notification either way, and the card shows Confirmed or Declined. A declined slot needs someone: edit it and pick another person.
Calls also appear in each person's own calendar feed (the My jobs calendar link), titled with their role.
The week at a glance
Team Management → Crew shows a week of bookings across every job, by day: who, which role, the hours, and whether they confirmed. Switch to Needs someone to see only unfilled and declined slots. Click a row to open the job.
Billing for people
Crew bookings are scheduling, not billing. Charge for a DJ or a setup crew the way you already charge for labor: an hourly service line on the quote or job.
