Once an event layout is drawn, PortaPro turns it into the crew's copy: a numbered install sheet, matching numbers on the pull sheet, and the drawing in the driver app.
Reference marks
Put at least two reference marks on any layout with a tent, at fixed points that will still be there on setup day (two house corners, a corner and the driveway edge). Two tape measures from two known points fix a corner exactly; one only gives a distance. The Check tab reminds you when a tent is drawn and the marks are missing.
Reference marks are for the crew only. They're left off everything the customer sees: the quote page, the share link, the portal and the customer's PDFs.
Install sheet
Press Install sheet at the top of the editor for the crew's copy:
On an indoor layout, the venue's floor plan prints under the drawing, so the crew sees the walls and doors the numbers sit between.
Measurements come from the drawing, to the nearest inch. Check them on site, and have utilities marked (call 811) before driving stakes.
Numbers are the same everywhere: tents first, then dance floors and stages, then everything else from the top of the drawing down. The pull sheet, the install sheet and the driver app all use them.
On the pull sheet
When item movement is on, each job on a pull sheet (Inventory → Warehouse → Pull sheets, and the driver's Load list) shows a Layout link to its install sheet, and each line says which layout numbers it covers, e.g. *Layout 3–10*. The printed pull sheet carries the same numbers. Lines are matched to the drawing by product: a kit line covers the numbers of every part drawn.
In the driver app
A job with a layout shows a Layout section in the driver app:
Drivers see layouts for jobs assigned to them (or not assigned yet), the same as the Load list. A pickup shows the delivery's layout.
Layouts open view-only on a phone. Edit them on a computer or tablet.
