PortaPro can seed simulated trackers into a demo organization so the entire GPS stack can be exercised without hardware. Simulated positions flow through the exact same ingest pipeline as real ones, so a demo also exercises dedupe, clock clamping, health calculation, and events.
Where the Controls Live
Settings → Integrations → GPS Tracking → Device Health header. You'll see these buttons only if your organization is flagged as a demo org:
Real customer organizations never see these buttons and can't reach the underlying API even by guessing the URL, enforcement is server-side.

Every simulated pin carries the source badge Simulated (demo) in its popup so it's never mistaken for real hardware, and every position row is marked source='simulated' in the database.
Cleaning Up
Click Remove demo devices at any time. It deletes only what was seeded, the underlying vehicle and units the trackers were briefly attached to are untouched.
