Enabling vehicle tracking is a one-time acknowledgment, not a hidden toggle. A recorded consent row protects you under the employee-monitoring disclosure laws in California, New York, and several other states.

What Gets Recorded
PortaPro stores who acknowledged (name and Clerk user id), when (server timestamp), and which version of the disclosure text they saw. If the disclosure text is ever updated, past acknowledgments remain attributable to the exact text those users saw. This is the legal record, not the checkbox.
After Consent
The banner disappears and the provider rows become active. Connecting a provider (Flespi or Samsara) is the next step, see Hardware Trackers via Flespi and Connecting Samsara.
Who Can Acknowledge
Office roles only, Admin or Dispatcher. Drivers and customers cannot enable tracking on the org's behalf.
