Why Statuses Are Kind-Aware
A parked truck legitimately goes silent overnight. A daily-heartbeat asset tag in a metal container may miss a beat. Rather than a single timeout, PortaPro uses a floor per device type:
So a truck that reported 90 minutes ago is still healthy, and a tag that reported 20 hours ago is still healthy. The alert cron only notifies on transitions, not standing state.
What Turns a Status Red
Alerts dedupe against the last 24 hours, so a dead tracker pages once a day, not every 30 minutes.
