Many linen shops don't wash tablecloths and napkins in-house. They send them to a laundry and need to know what is at the cleaner and when it comes back. Warehouse → Laundry tracks that.
Laundry lives in Inventory → Warehouse, which appears when Track item movement is on (Settings → Item Movement).
Send something to the laundry
Gear goes to the laundry from Inventory → Warehouse → Cleaning:
In Send to the laundry, pick the Laundry (any vendor from Financials → Vendors, or Type a name…), set Expected back, add a Ticket number if the laundry gave you one, and click Send.
Can I book linens that are at the laundry?
Yes, for dates after they're due back. Until the Expected back day they count as out. From the day after, they count as free, so this weekend's booking can count tablecloths that are at the cleaner on Tuesday.
If the laundry is late and the expected-back day passes, they count as out again until you receive them. The batch shows Overdue in Warehouse → Laundry.
Warehouse → Laundry
Each batch shows the laundry, when it went, when it's expected back, and what is still out. Overdue batches are listed first.
Clean units go back to the yard and clean pieces go back in stock. Damaged ones wait in Cleaning as damaged. Anything you didn't receive stays on the batch; the batch moves to Back in the last two weeks once nothing is left out.
