Push notifications are delivered to PortaPro Field Operations, PortaPro's app for iPhone, iPad and Android phones. They arrive even when the app is closed. A web browser does not receive push notifications; the bell and email still work there.
Turning push on (on your phone)
Device Permission shows Allowed, Blocked or Not set. If it reads Blocked, open iOS Settings → Notifications → PortaPro (or Android Settings → Apps → PortaPro) and allow notifications.
On a computer
Settings → Notifications on a computer shows Your phone:
Choosing which alerts push
Each alert type in Notification Preferences has its own In-App, Push and Email switches (a few also have Text). The Push column unlocks once your phone is set up; until then it reads "Turn on push in the PortaPro app on your phone to use this column." The same switches work from the phone or the computer.
One phone, one person
A phone receives push for whoever is signed in to the app on it. If someone else signs in on the same phone, their alerts go there instead. On a shared truck tablet, alerts follow the driver signed on with their PIN.
