Money comes in every way there is. A check in the mail, cash at the yard, a card read over the phone. Whichever it is, you record it from the invoice. Find the invoice. Its number, or the customer's name, works. The invoice opens with the document beside it. Send history shows every time it went out. Click Collect Payment. With the cash discount program on, you see both prices. Paying by check or cash earns the lower one. If the customer has credit on file, apply it first, and collect only what's left. Rather they pay on their own phone? Text or copy a pay link, and they can use Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a card. Otherwise, choose how they paid. For a check, add the check number, so it's easy to match to your bank deposit later. Backdate the payment date if you're catching up on a stack of mail. Record it, and the balance updates. Once an invoice is paid in full, PortaPro offers to send the customer a receipt.
