Sooner or later a customer asks, what do I owe you? Or, where did my last payment go? A statement answers both on one page. Statements live on the customer's Financial tab. Open the Statement menu. There are two kinds. A balance statement lists every invoice still open today, with how far past due each one is, and any credit they have on file. An activity statement covers a stretch of time. Pick a preset, like year to date, or tap two dates on the calendar. It starts with what they owed on day one, lists every charge, payment and credit in order with a running balance, and ends with what they owe now. Exactly what a bookkeeper wants to reconcile against. Email the balance statement straight from here, to the people who get this customer's invoices. And if you'd like, PortaPro can email one every month, on the day you choose, to each customer who owes a balance.
