Step by step in writing: Moving Unit Pins from the Field
Transcript
You've parked, walked to the stop, and the units are nowhere near where the map said they'd be. Somebody moved them. Here's how you fix the map before the next driver goes hunting. Today already knows you've arrived at Ashford Construction. Open the job and scroll to Service Locations. Every pin at the site is on the map, with its units listed underneath. Walk over and stand right next to the units, not back at the truck. Then tap their pin. Up top is whatever the office wrote for this spot. Below it, what's recorded at this pin. Five standard units and a handwash station. Your position shows how sharp the phone's G P S is right now, and how far the pin is from you. Forty-five meters here, with a good fix. Tap Move pin here. The pin jumps to where you're standing, and the office map changes as it happens. If only part of the group was moved, switch on Only some and pick which units. They get a pin of their own and the rest stay put. Under trees or between buildings, the fix can be too rough to trust. Use Adjust on the map instead and drag the pin to the spot. And if you can't get to them this visit, flag the pin for relocation with a short note. It turns orange for the office and the next driver.
