Step by step in writing: Field Setup: Tell PortaPro How Your Drivers Work
Transcript
Every company runs its trucks a little differently. Field setup asks how yours do, and sets up the driver app to match. It's in Settings, under Operations. Four short steps and a final check. Not sure is always an answer, and it changes nothing. Start with what your trucks do. The rest follows from it, so a roll-off company never gets asked about pump-outs. Who picks the unit that goes out? The office can choose it when booking, or drivers can grab any unit in the yard and record the numbers they set down. Then whether drivers fill a report at every route service stop, and which one. If your county wants its own form filled on the job, say so here, and drivers get it right on the stop. Do your trucks carry a waste tank? Answer yes, and drivers see how full theirs is on Today. Shared iPads that stay in the truck, the time clock, and office people who also run routes are covered on this step too. Last, how drivers reach customers: in PortaPro, by text from the company number, or from their own phone. The final step shows every answer beside what it changes. Nothing is applied until you confirm. Confirm when it reads right, and run it again whenever your crew changes how it works.
