GPS-verified delivery and pickup
A tracked unit's first entry into its placement site's fence is the verified delivery time; its return to a yard is the verified pickup. It shows on the unit profile ("on site since … · N days"), in the customer portal ("On site since …"), and in the weekly report. First delivery wins and never moves; latest pickup wins. A unit moved between two of the customer's sites keeps its original delivery date. Units without a tracking device get no verified dates; the paperwork dates still apply.
What it settles: "you picked it up on the 12th, not the 18th" becomes a timestamp from the unit's own tracker rather than an argument.
Proof of service on the paperwork
The GPS on-site stamp (see GPS Proof of Service) prints on the invoice PDF for each job billed on it, and on the service report PDF: "GPS verified on site: Aug 20, 9:14–9:26 AM".
Job prompts
When a tracked unit enters its site with an open delivery job today (or returns to the yard with an open pickup), the job shows "GPS shows the unit arrived at 10:42. Mark this job complete?" with Mark complete / Not yet, and dispatchers get a bell. It is a prompt, never an automatic status change: nothing about the job moves until someone taps Mark complete, and *Not yet* clears the prompt and leaves the job as it was. The tracker knows the unit arrived, not whether the driver finished the paperwork, took the photo, or got the signature. The prompt sits above Proof of Service on the job and only appears while the job is not yet completed.
One-click fixes on the location check
Inventory → GPS Tracking's location-check rows offer Mark available or Mark assigned to correct the unit's status in place. See Yard Location Check.
Weekly report
Settings → GPS Tracking → Weekly report. Step week by week with the arrows.
Download CSV exports both tables for the week: payroll, a customer asking for proof of service dates, or a spreadsheet. Trucks need a vehicle tracker and units need a tracking device plus a placement pin to appear; trucks and units without trackers don't.
Battery service on unit devices
Device Health shows "Battery service ~Aug 2031" for unit devices (five years from activation); a maintenance-class alert fires 90 days before.
