When someone applies
Applications land on Hiring → Candidates in your first stage, with a blue dot until someone opens them. Everyone with Hiring access gets a bell and push notification ("New application: …"). Email for these is off by default; turn it on per person in Settings → Notifications → Hiring.
The applicant immediately gets your Application received email with a private link to their application page. There they can see where things stand, message you, and send you files. Nobody needs a login. Internal stage names never reach the applicant; they see a simple status.
If the same email applies to the same opening again within 30 days, PortaPro updates the existing candidate and marks them new again instead of creating a duplicate.
You can also Add candidate yourself for walk-ins, phone calls, and people who applied with Indeed's own Apply button. Nothing is emailed to them.
