Listing check. Whether the opening has a city and state, pay, a full description, and is listed on job sites, plus whether it's ready for Google for Jobs.Post it. One row per site: Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Craigslist, Facebook and LinkedIn. Each gets a posting shaped for that site's form, ending with that site's own tracked link. - Indeed and ZipRecruiter: Copy title (just the role, the way those sites want it) and Copy description.
- Craigslist: Copy title (with the pay, kept under Craigslist's 70-character limit) and Copy description.
- Facebook and LinkedIn: Copy post, a short "We're hiring" post with the highlights and the link.
- Open Indeed (and the others) opens that site's posting page. Facebook and LinkedIn have Share. How to post on … shows the few tips that matter for that site's form.
- Tick Posted once it's up. The row shows the date, and the opening reads "Posted on N sites" in Positions. When you pause or close the opening, PortaPro reminds you which sites to take it down from, because posts you made by hand stay up until you remove them.
Posting text. The posting, ready to paste anywhere: Copy text or Download (.txt).Printable flyer. Download flyer (PDF) makes a one-page "Now hiring" flyer with your logo, the pay, the requirements and a large QR code to the application. Post it at truck stops, dump sites, parts counters and your yard.Where applicants come from. How many applicants each link brought.Google for Jobs (automatic)
When an opening is open, listed on job sites, and has a city and state, PortaPro adds the structured data Google's job search reads to its page. There's nothing to set up. Google decides when and where to show it.
Job feed (automatic)
PortaPro publishes a job feed that job sites and aggregators read. Your openings are in it while they're listed on job sites. If you use a job-posting service, or a board asks for an "XML feed", give them your feed link from Settings → Hiring → Job sites. To keep every opening off job sites, turn off List openings on job sites there.
About Indeed
Since March 2026, Indeed shows free listings mainly from software it has approved as a partner. PortaPro doesn't post to Indeed for you. Post the job on Indeed yourself with Copy title, Copy description and Open Indeed. A post you make yourself may need a small sponsored budget to be seen.
Applicants who click the link at the end of your description land on your PortaPro application and appear in Hiring on their own, marked Indeed link.Applicants who use Indeed's own Apply button stay in your Indeed account, and Indeed emails them to you. Add them in Hiring with Add candidate.Where each applicant came from
Every candidate shows Came from on their Application tab and their card: Indeed link, ZipRecruiter link, Facebook, LinkedIn, Craigslist link, Google, Printed flyer, Your website, Job site feed, or Direct visit. It's recorded once, from the first link they used, and never changes. It's separate from Heard about us, which is what the applicant picked on the form.

Troubleshooting
"Google for Jobs: not listed yet." Give the opening a city and state, keep it open, and make sure List on job sites is on for the opening and in Settings → Hiring → Job sites. An applicant shows "Direct visit". They typed or bookmarked the link, or came from a site that hides where visitors come from. Share the tracked links from Promote for cleaner numbers. The careers page says it can't be found. Turn on Accept applications in Settings → Hiring. Paused and closed openings don't show.---
