The driver app (also called Tech View) is the part of PortaPro your field team
works in: today's stops and route, job details and completing service, photos
and signatures, vehicle inspections, disposal runs, the time clock and team
chat. It runs in the PortaPro Field Operations app on iPhone, iPad and
Android, and in any browser at app.portaprosoftware.com. Everything a driver
records lands on the same job the office is looking at.
Who uses it
They then see Switch to Tech View at the bottom of the sidebar, and
inside the driver app the menu has Back to Admin View (or Back to
Dispatcher View). Turning it on takes a company switch and a per-person
switch; see Roles and permissions.

Getting around
Top bar
Bottom bar: Load-Out, Today, Disposal, Chat, Search
and your profile picture (your account menu, with sign-out). If your company uses Walkie-Talkie, the talk bar
sits just above these tabs. Search finds screens in the driver app by name
(for example "DVIR" or "time off"); it does not search customers or jobs.
The menu lists Today, Schedule, My calls, Load-Out,
Disposal, DVIRs, Team Chat and Announcements, then Profile
Settings, the Help Center and PortaPro Support, and the light or dark
appearance setting. On a shared truck tablet it also has Switch driver.
Quick Actions: Pre-Trip DVIR, Post-Trip DVIR, Log Disposal,
Route Map, Dispatch Line, Message the Team and Request Time
Off.

Load-Out
Load-Out shows your Vehicle Assignment for today and, for today's
jobs, the Equipment and Consumables to load. With no vehicle assigned
it says No vehicle assigned for today. With nothing to load it says
Nothing to load out.
Disposal
Disposal walks you through a dump in steps: Tank Status (your current
level and, optionally, the estimated gallons), Select Approved Site,
Navigate to Site, Complete Disposal (Gallons Dumped is required,
plus an optional ticket number, notes and a photo) and Disposal Complete.
Some sites need dispatch to approve the dump first: you'll see Approval
requested, and the screen moves on by itself once dispatch approves. With no
signal the disposal is queued and sends when you're back in coverage.
On a route that includes a dump stop, the stop's Start Pump-Out button
opens the same screen with the site already picked. Disposal sites are set up
by the office; see Disposal sites.
Quick Lead button
If your company turns on Allow drivers to submit Quick Leads (Settings →
Lead Sources, in Leads & Pipeline), drivers see a round blue button on
their screens. Tap it to open New Field Lead: Company / Contact Name
(required), Phone, Location / Job Site, Estimated Units and
Notes, then Submit Lead. The lead goes to the office's pipeline with
the source "Driver Field Referral", and the toast confirms Lead submitted.
Your manager has been notified. The button shows only for people whose role
is driver.
