Step by step in writing: Rescheduling a Missed Stop
Transcript
This is everything PortaPro keeps about a missed stop, from the evening it's missed to the report at the end of the month. When a stop's day ends and it's still open, it shows up under Needs attention on Jobs and Dispatch, with the driver and the day it was due. A red badge marks a site that keeps getting skipped. Holbrook Orchards has been missed four times in thirty days. Open the job. Its Schedule History says it was missed on Thursday, and that it still needs rescheduling. The same entry is on the customer's Activity tab, so whoever answers their call already knows. From the job's menu, choose Reschedule. The first suggestion is Mike, the driver who had it, on his next working day, Monday. He's at that same address anyway. Critical make-up is already switched on, with a done-by time of eleven in the morning. Reschedule. It's the same job, now on Monday, not a second work order, and its Critical make-up switch is on. Route planning puts it ahead of Monday's other stops. If it's still open at ten, the office gets a heads-up. Its history keeps the miss: Thursday to Monday, with a Missed badge, who moved it, and when. On Monday's calendar it wears a red Critical badge, due by eleven, and says it moved from October twenty-second. Sites that keep getting missed wear the same red badge on their site card. Reports, Missed and Rescheduled Stops, scores the last thirty days: every miss, how many were made up on time by eleven the next business day, how many were late, and how many sites repeat. Group it by driver to see whose route the misses come from, or by branch when you run more than one yard. The rules are in Settings, under Routing, Missed stops. Choose whether rescheduled misses start out Critical, the time they're due by, and how many misses in thirty days flag a site.
