Scheduling vs. sending a card immediately

Every card has a Delivery section on its detail page. You choose when it goes to the recipient.

Scheduled send

On the card detail page, in the Delivery section, click Edit.

Enter the Recipient email (if it wasn't prefilled).

Pick a Scheduled send date and time.

Click Save.

The card status changes to Scheduled. Every 15 minutes, PortaPro checks for cards that are due and sends them. The recipient gets a branded email with a link to view the card.

Send now

On the card detail page, click Send now in the top-right.

A confirmation dialog asks you to confirm. Read the details — you're about to email the recipient immediately, and once sent the card is final.

Click Send now to confirm.

The recipient gets the card email right away. The card status changes to Sent and its content becomes read-only.

What happens once a card is sent

No new signatures. The signature link stays live but shows a "This card has been delivered — signing is closed" message.

No edits to signatures. Moderation is disabled.

The Delivery section disappears from the card detail page. Instead, a "Sent {timestamp}" line shows in the header.

Copy recipient link remains available — if you need to share the finished card again (e.g. text it to the recipient), that's the URL to use.

Common gotchas

No recipient email: Send now is disabled until you add one. The button has a hover tooltip explaining why.

Scheduled send in the past: the card is sent on the next 15-minute cron tick.

Send failure: if PortaPro's email provider (Resend) rejects delivery, the card reverts to Scheduled and the error is shown in the Delivery section. It'll retry on the next tick.
