The short version
---
Weather alerts
When the National Weather Service has an active alert at your yard (the first active storage yard in Settings), a banner sits above the route planner, for example "Wind Advisory" or "2 active weather alerts". Severe and extreme alerts open by default; minor ones stay collapsed behind a chip. Open NWS bulletin shows the full alert. You can dismiss the banner for the session.
---
Forecast for your stops
Under the alerts, a strip reads Forecast for <day>: followed by what the forecast shows at your stops that day, for example "High wind at 6 stops · Freezing at 12 stops". Click it to see each stop (customer, site and job number) with the detail, such as "Gusts 45 mph" or "Low 18°F". Click a stop to open the job.
| Flag | When |
|---|---|
| High wind | Gusts of 40 mph or more, or sustained wind of 25 mph or more |
| Windy | Gusts of 30 mph or more |
| Hard freeze | A low of 20°F or colder |
| Freezing | A low of 32°F or colder |
| Snow | Any snow in the forecast (4 inches or more is marked stronger) |
Wind matters for tents and units that can tip, freezing for tanks, valves and hand-wash water, and snow for access and pickups. These are planning guides for dispatch, not a safety rating for any tent or unit.
The strip only appears when something is flagged, for today through the next six days (the range the Weather Service forecasts). Stops without a map location aren't checked, and on very busy days the quietest stops may be skipped to keep it quick; the strip says how many.

Weather radar
The dispatch map's Weather Radar switch overlays live precipitation radar so you can see storms moving toward your routes.
