Settings → Company (in the Organization group) holds your business
details: the name, logo and contact information your customers see, your
address and time zone, your business hours, and one default for new
customers. Most of it appears on customer-facing documents and emails, so
it is worth filling in before you send your first invoice.
How editing works
Each card on the page reads as a summary. To change one:
Only one card can be open for editing at a time. If you start editing
another card, or leave the page, with unsaved changes, PortaPro asks
Discard unsaved changes? with Keep editing or Discard changes
(Leave anyway when you are leaving the page).
Each card saves only its own fields, so saving one card never overwrites
another. A short message confirms the save, for example "Contact details
saved".
The logo, site icon and No logo switch are the exception: they work
straight away, with or without the pencil.
Company Identity
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Company Name | Your business name. Required. |
| Company Logo | Upload, change or remove your logo (PNG or JPG, max 5MB). |
| Site Icon | The small square image in the browser tab on payment links and quotes. Your logo is used until you set one. |
| No logo | Hides the logo placeholder on your login and logout pages. |
| Brand Color | A 6-digit hex code (for example #3B82F6), typed or picked. Appears on customer-facing pages, emails and your customer portal. |
Your company name is the sender name on customer emails PortaPro sends for
you, and it heads your invoices, quotes and other PDFs. Logo, site icon and
brand color are covered in detail in Company branding.
If you have no logo yet, a Personalize Your Login Pages banner sits at
the top of the page. Add Logo scrolls to this card; Don't show again
and Remind me later dismiss it.
Contact Details
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Your company email. Printed on invoices and other PDFs. | |
| Phone | Your company phone. Printed on invoices and other PDFs, and shown in the portal. |
| Website | Your public website. Type it without `http://`; PortaPro adds that part. Shown as "Return to company website" after customers sign out. |
| Support Email | Where customer replies go. Shown to customers on quotes, invoices and automated messages. |
When Support Email is set, customer emails PortaPro sends for you use it
as the reply-to address, and the portal shows it as the address to contact.
When it is blank, your company Email is used instead.
The card also shows your dedicated text-messaging number, read-only: the
number when it is active, "SMS number pending" while it is being set up, or
"SMS not enabled" with a link to Go to SMS settings. Text messaging is set
up in Settings → SMS, not here.
Address & Hours
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| Street Address, Street 2 (Optional), City, State, Zipcode | Your business address, shown as Address (customer-facing). Street, city, state and zip are required to save the card. |
| Timezone | Your company's one time zone. Used for scheduling, business hours and timestamps across your organization. |
Your address is printed on invoices, quotes, receipts, statements, service
reports and purchase orders.
Every company runs on one time zone, and many dates and times depend on it.
See Company time zone before you change it.
Business Hours
The Business Hours card lists each day of the week as open with hours,
or Closed. To change it, click the pencil, switch each day Open or
Closed, pick the opening and closing times (in half-hour steps), and
click Save.
These hours apply to your whole organization and are read in your company
time zone. They control when customers see you as "online" in the customer
portal, when Use Business Hours is on in Settings → Customer Experience.
See Customer Experience.
Until you save hours once, the card shows a suggested week (Monday to
Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM), but nothing is stored yet. Click Save to make
your hours count.
The Configure business hours in Settings → Company link on Settings →
Customer Experience opens this card with the editor already open.
Defaults for New Customers
One setting: Default State. When set, new customer and site addresses
start with that state filled in, and anyone can still change it per
address. Choose No default to turn it off. See
Default State and address pre-fill for
every screen it reaches.
Setup Guide
The last card, Setup Guide, turns the onboarding checklist on or off for
your whole organization (Show the setup guide) and shows how many tasks
are complete. Tasks check themselves off as your team uses PortaPro.
Who can change these settings
Owners, admins and dispatchers can open Settings and edit this page. Drivers
and mechanics can't open Settings.
